For as long as I can remember, growing up, my family and I, would go down to Florida, every year to a different location for a “beach vacation”. It was not until I was an adult, asked to be a bridesmaid for one of my very good friends, that I discovered Siesta Key.
The beaches of Siesta Key are gorgeous. The sand is indescribable. Prior to coming to Siesta Key, I had heard many stories about how white the sandy beaches were or that even on the hottest days the sand was so reflective that it felt cool underneath your feet. Truth be told, it feels like you are walking in a huge cake pan of powdered sugar.
At night, Siesta Key Village is where you want to be. The village is chalk full of bars, restaurants, ice cream shops, daiquiri bars, etc. You can find a veggie burger to a plate full of crab legs. Cocktails are overflowing and there is not a night without a drink special available.
