My brother and I loved our time in the small town of Moalboal on Cebu Island. Beautiful beaches, outstanding scuba diving, great nightlife, tasty food, and the locals were very welcoming. This barber shop is in the heart of the town and just steps from the local market near the sea. The cockfighting pit is around the corner and it gets wild on Sundays. The basketball courts are in the middle of town and stay packed every night. The Filipinos love hoops and we saw that everywhere we went on the island.
With the chance to take long scooter rides to discover different parts of Cebu, enjoy unique water experiences (both in the ocean and the many falls), interacting with monkeys, and hanging out with travelers from around the world, Moalboal is definitely a destination that will continue to grow in popularity but will hold all of the qualities that make it unique. I can’t say enough about the kindness of the Filipino people and how truly cool they are to hang out with.
