Thanks for checking out my page and our website! We are so lucky to be living out our dreams and sharing it with you.
I grew up in a military family in the US which means that we moved every 3 years. We always stayed in the States so I didn’t have international exposure as a child but did get the chance to meet new friends in different regions around the US. I ended up attending 3 high schools (graduating in Wisconsin) and, because I was pursuing goals within basketball, attended 5 different universities. I received my BS in Business from UNC-Greensboro being awarded Academic All-American East Region honors playing basketball in the Southern Conference, then went on to get my MBA at the University of Texas at Tyler while coaching Junior College basketball. I then traveled to Indianapolis to start a small business with my brother and have since been in the nightlife industry, finance world, and now the ultra-hot technology industry.
As you can see, I am not afraid of change. My mom said that I was always very open to moving as a child and never saw it as a negative experience. Meeting new friends, seeing new places, and discovering the differences in the communities was something I looked forward to. And still do today. My background, and adaptability to change, is why this decision to pick up, pack up, and travel the world is not that shocking to those that know me well.
I am really looking forward to sharing my thoughts and views on the life changes we will encounter along this journey. I am an avid reader, podcast listener, and self-improvement fan. I am not a great photographer but plan to improve. I am going to attempt to put some videos together to capture the moments and I am hoping to get the guts to do a podcast so we can have an amazing audio record of the people we meet along the path (have ideas? send them). I hope to stretch myself along the way and improve in areas that I know need enhancing.
I can’t wait to walk along the Pyramids, dance in Spain, and party at an Indian wedding. The relationship with the people of the communities, as well as other travelers, is what excites me the most about this journey!
